World of Warcraft August 4 Hotfix Brings Classic Tweaks, PvP Fixes, and Class Updates
Blizzard deployed a targeted hotfix on August 4, 2025, for Mists of Pandaria Classic across all active realms. The patch addressed a range of gameplay and cosmetic issues—including disabling the Mushroom Chair toy in combat zones, restoring fishing pools in Stranglethorn Vale, and fixing visibility problems with the Stormstout Brewery portal. Class-specific tweaks ensure smoother gameplay: Death Knights now correctly process Blood Tap when switching specs, and Brewmaster Monks gain the correct Vengeance value when taunting enemies. Pet Battles and PvP systems also saw bug fixes, including streamlined flag capture behavior in Twin Peaks and improved interactions for Priests using Leap of Faith.
This hotfix also corrected quest inconsistencies like the Elder Charms of Good Fortune, and fixed transmog issues so that the Valorous Dreadnaught set displays correctly on all pieces. In total, it’s a collection of small but meaningful adjustments designed to polish core systems and quality-of-life features without requiring a full patch update—though some fixes will take effect after server restarts.
