Schedule I Rolls Out First Major Update with New Shops and Decor
The indie simulation game Schedule I has launched its first major content update, version 0.3.4, packed with new features and gameplay enhancements. Since its debut, Schedule I has made a big splash in the gaming world, amassing millions of downloads within just days of release. Check out the first updates below:
Key Additions:
- Pawn Shop Functionality: Players can now sell a wide range of items (excluding products) to Mick at the newly introduced pawn shop.
- Decorative Items: The update introduces various decorative elements, including wooden and metal signs, wall-mounted shelves, antique and modern wall lamps, a grandfather clock, and six collectible paintings.
- Luxury Items: Players can now acquire items such as silver and gold watches, chains, a gold bar, and decorative liquor bottles like Ol’ Man Jimmy’s Whiskey, Château La Peepee, and Brut du Gloop.
- Unique Toilets: Two new toilet options have been added—a pre-owned toilet and a golden toilet—for those looking to add a touch of humor or luxury to their establishments.
Improvements and Fixes:
- User Interface Enhancements: The counteroffer product selection interface has been improved for better usability.
- Dialogue Refinements: Customer recommendation dialogues have been rephrased for clarity.
- Inventory Adjustments: The stack size for jars has been increased to 20, and additional validity checks have been implemented to prevent item slot filter bypasses.
- Supplier Interactions: Supplier meeting icons on the map now display the supplier’s name, and the cooldown timer for requesting meetings has been removed. Time skips, such as sleeping, now affect the supplier meeting countdown.
- Bug Fixes: Several bugs have been addressed, including issues with delivery destination dropdowns, player lists not clearing properly, and non-host clients not receiving certain events.
The developer has acknowledged that the update was released later than planned due to ongoing refinements in the update and testing process. They aim to streamline future updates, with larger monthly updates scheduled to begin next month. The next focus will be on resolving remaining bugs, ensuring employee functionality, and improving save file formats for better compatibility with Steam Cloud saves.
