Prinny: Is It Okay If I'm the Protagonist? Screens.

Dengeki Online has posted quite a few screenshots from the upcoming NIS game Prinny: Is It Okay If I'm the Protagonist. So far the game is confirmed for US release, but no word on a release date. Rumor has it that it's one of the harder games that you'll come across. If you like what you see, you can always try out the demo that's available on the Japanese PSN Store.

Bethesda Releases New Fallout 3 Screens

Bethesda has just released three new screens for their upcoming game Fallout 3, which is the latest entry in the legendary action RPG franchise. The game is currently looking at a Q4 release on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

New Banjo Kazooie Imagery

Previously known as Banjo Kazooie 3, Microsoft has officially announced that Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts for the Xbox 360 is set for a November release. The game is a radical departure from the series' platforming roots as the gameplay ventures into vehicle building and customization modes.

Atlus Announces Izuna 2 For DS

Last year saw the release of Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja for the DS, which resurrected the obscenely niche roguelike genre to produce a humorous and quirky dungeon crawler. The game was divisive among critics, with those that either loved the game's dialog and punishing old-school feel or those that felt that it was too hard and fundamentally not fun to play.

However, the game did well enough to earn a sequel, as Atlus has announced Izuna 2: The Unemployed Ninja Returns for the DS. The game will include more dungeons, items, etc. and will feature a new TAG system, which will allow players to bring two characters into a dungeon to execute special "TAG" attacks. The game is dated for July 22.

Funcom Announces Preorder Goodies For Age of Conan

Funcom is busy gearing up for next month's release of Age of Conan, and today they announced that the MMO will have its share of preorder extras for gamers in North America, Oceania, and Europe. These include in-game items such as war mounts and weapons, retailer-specific items like game guides, and access to the game several days early for five dollars.

From Morten Larssen, VP Sales and Marketing of Funcom:

"We are very pleased with the reception Age of Conan has had in retail and we naturally hope that the early interest and our early access programs will materialize in an eventual success. The positive indications are naturally an honor, but they also bring a great responsibility. As we prepare the roll-out, we know our servers will be put to the test. We therefore hope potential players will aid us by signaling their interest as soon as possible so we can scale our servers and services accordingly.

Funcom also released details regarding the collector's edition of the game, which will include more exclusive in-game items, a faux leather map, a making-of DVD, an official soundtrack CD, an art book, and five free guest passes. It will retail for $89.99.

Sonic Unleashed Announced

Amidst the circulating rumors, Sega has announced that Sonic Unleashed is in development for the PS2, Wii, Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3. The title will utilize a unique "Hedgehog Engine" and is set for release later this year.

"By combining rich and vibrant scenery with dynamic viewpoints Sonic Unleashed will provide an immersive 3D experience whilst keeping alive the 2D gameplay elements and fantastic worlds that Sonic fans know and love" says Gary Knight, European Marketing Director for Sega Europe.

Atari has published a handful of new screenshots for its Alone in the Dark on next-gen (or is that now current gen?) systems and the PC.

The images follow yesterday's latest trailer, which you can view here. The game is being developed by Eden Studios and should launch in July for everything but the PlayStation 3 (the PS3 version is dated for January of 2009). Images at the link.

New Twisted Metal: Head On Extra Twisted Visuals, Details

Sony has unveiled new screenshots and package details of Twisted Metal: Head On Extra Twisted Edition for the PlayStation 2. The game is a essentially a port of the PSP title Twisted Metal: Head On, only with several key improvements. The Extra Twisted Edition includes:

The Core Game Itself- Yep, the hit PSP game - Twisted Metal:Head On - is now on PS2. And now its running at 60 frames/second, has improved textures and art, and even has a new level created specifically for this version (Transylvania Castle).
The Lost Levels - Four brand new levels straight out of the dark, demented world of Twisted Metal: Black. These levels are designed with two player deathmatch in mind and I think they are some of the best Twisted levels we have ever made. My favorites are Suburban Terror and Stadium Slaughter.
The Twisted Metal Symphony- folks who purchase the game will get a free code to let them download a free copy of The Twisted Metal Symphony. TMS is a compilation soundtrack of the greatest musical tracks from TM1, TM2, TM:BLACK, and TM:HEAD ON. Yes, old school TM fans, Rooftops from TM1 WILL be on there!

Sweet Tour- This is where you get to take control of Sweet Tooth himself and run him around some levels built for Twisted Metal: Black 2. As you run around, you find icons you can collect. Each icon opens up concept art and behind the scenes information about the making of the series.
The Lost Ending Movies- Back in 1995, I wrote and directed some live action end movies for the very first Twisted Metal. Because they were deemed too sexist and too violent, they never saw the light of day. But its 2008 now and what was once offensive is now just- to most folks- cheesy and charming. So these flicks are on the disc for folks to finally judge for themselves if they are cinematic masterpieces or the final proof of my total lack of talent. Im sure youll let me know which.

First Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles Screenshots

If you've played through Assassin's Creed you might have been wondering how Ubisoft could shrink that entire visual package to the Nintendo DS and pass go.

Well, wonder no more. Here are some interesting shots of Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles on the DS. It looks like many of the game's mechanics will be present - pickpocketing, eavesdropping, roof-top leaping, etc - but apparently cut-and-pasted icons have been added to the GPS. At the very least, the game should prove entertaining.

More R6: Vegas 2 Screens Released. They Have Bloom.

If we're still to believe Ubisoft, Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 ("Vegas Harder," I like to call it) is coming out in 3 months (to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the Rainbow Six franchise in March). For that, you'd expect that we'd have more than the 10-or so screenshots we've gotten so far.

This newest batch, over at TeamXbox, don't show off a lot. The biggest feature of the screenshots seem to be the bloom lighting. Bloom lighting is great and all, but I'd prefer some actual confirmation that this game is actually coming out in March.

New Screenshots of WipeOut HD for PS3

PlayFrance has posted some new imagery of WipeOut HD for the PlayStation 3, which you can view at the link.

WipeOut HD contains a mixture of tracks, weapons, and vehicles from previous games in the franchise along with new trinkets, including a radar to let players know the location of enemy ships as well as a gauge that warns gamers when they're about to be blown to bits by an opponent. Handy, that.

The US release is still listed as TBA.

Sony has published some new screenshots of its Wipeout Pulse for the PlayStation Portable, and while that might not appear immediately intriguing all the images were taken with an in-game screenshot capture feature (photo mode) that'll enable players to snag their own shots and share them with friends.

No GTAIV for Wii, Exclusive DLC for 360 Version in 2009

Rockstar has taken some time off from its Manhunt 2 rantings to grace us with some interesting screenshots for its Grand Theft Auto IV. All screens are viewable at the link.

In more pertinent GTAIV news, Gamasutra is reporting that there will be no GTAIV release for Nintendo's Wii console due to the game being "ill-suited" for it (yet Bully is apparently a go, explain that one to me).

In this same fourth-quarter results announcement, Rockstar also confirmed that it will be bringing fresh, exclusive downloadable content to the Xbox 360 version in 2009.
