<description><![CDATA[<p><span style="margin: 0pt; padding: 8px 0pt 8px 8px; z-index: 777; float: right; clear: right;"><img src="http://www.gamebump.com/images/upload/aselpqi27ac4tdfimexebr1f.jpg" alt="" alignment="right" border="0"></span></p>It took over fifteen years and millions and millions of dollars, but Chinese Democracy, Guns N' Roses' newest album, finally hit store shelves last year, and now it seems like the folks at MTV are planning to bring it to Rock Band.<br><br>In an interview with <a href="http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/specials/axl-speaks/interview05.shtml">Billboard </a>back in December, lead singer Axl Rose said that the release would be at the end of this month, but MTV has now changed that to "spring." <br><br>Rose mentioned that Harmonix "felt the record - based on the nature and complexity of the depth of
instrumentation - deserved a bit more attention and some more involved
elements than they've generally dealt with. I have no idea what that
means but it's my understanding they were very enthusiastic."<br><br>Well, we don't understand what that means, either, but be on the lookout for the release in the next couple of months. <br>]]></description>

<p>Harmonix has just issued a press release containing the full list of songs for Rock Band 2 that was first shown at Microsoft's E3 conference. </p>
<p>The biggest news besides the contents of the list is that you'll be able to export all your tracks from Rock Band into Rock Band 2, which, combined with the latter's setlist and planned DLC, will give you over 500 songs to jam out to by year's end.</p>
<p>As for the list itself, there's a ton of different artists ranging from Bob Dylan to AC/DC to Blondie and more. There's a total of 84 songs that will be on the game disc.</p>

Today they announced that Harmonix plans to partner with Q Entertainment to release a "heavily localized" version of the game in Japan. <br><br><a href="http://www.gamedaily.com/articles/news/rock-band-to-be-heavily-localized-for-japan/?biz=1">GameDaily has reported</a> that MTV revealed a trailer for the localized edition at the 2008 Japanese MTV Video Music Awards in addition to making the American version available at the afterparty. <br></div><p style="text-align: left;">A release date hasn't been made public yet, but we'll keep you updated. <br></p>]]></description>

The download will cost $14.99, and gamers will also have the option to download the tracks seperately for $1.99 each. <br><br>Two more albums were also announced, with The Pixies' "Doolittle" being set for June and The Cars' eponymous debut album arriving in May.]]></description>

The game is set to launch on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles on November 20 and follows the successful release of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, its prime competition at release.<br><br>The company will sell three-song packs for $5.49 (440 Microsoft points) a piece or $1.99 (160 MS points) a track. <b>WHAT: </b>MTVs Gamers Week 2.0 Celebration at the Playboy Mansion Presented by GameTrailers took place November 14 in Los Angeles, and GT cameras were there to catch all the action!  Bringing together the elite from both the television and gaming industries, GT and MTV hosted the event to commemorate the massive amount of high-quality programming dedicated to gamers across all Viacom brands during Gamers Week 2.0. </p>

Hugh Hefners hot, live-in girlfriend Kendra Wilkinson of the hit show The Girls Next Door stopped by to mingle and party while guests were entertained by the sounds of wildly-popular DJ Vice.  Playmates were also on-hand to party bunny style and offer guests exclusive tours of the mansion, game room, the zoo and the infamous Grotto. </p>
