Surprise of the Century: Assassin's Creed Sequel In Development

Though it should hardly surprise anyone, a recent slip at TGS has almost-kinda-sorta confirmed that a sequel to 2007's controversial hit, Assassin's Creed, is indeed being developed.

According to Animation Director David Wilkinson, "He [Assassin's Creed animator] is busy making Altair even more beautiful. Last thing I saw him do was [get] Altair to swim."

For those of you keeping track, this means that:

The ninja theme suspected given the original's indecipherable ending is a little less likely
He can finally swim--now you won't drown every time you touch the water. And that, children, is progress.

TGS 08: Resident Evil 5 Video.

Capcom has released a new video for the 5th installment in their ever-popular Resident Evil series. In the video we get to see, zombies, Chris, Sheva, Wesker, chainsaws, etc. You know the drill by now, be ready for some more black man zombie killing action! Follow the link for the goods.

TGS 08: Demons Souls, a New PS3 RPG.

Sony has announced a new RPG title for the PlayStation 3 by the name of Demon's Souls. Billed as a spiritual successor to the Japanese only PS1 RPG King's Field, not much is known about the game at this point.

TGS 08: The Last Remnant Trailer.

Gametrailers.com has recently uploaded the Tokyo Games Show trailer for Square Enix's The Last Remnant. The video makes the game look rather intriguing. So far, the overall story, graphics, and art direction all look pretty solid. Personally, I'm still waiting to see how the gameplay works out before purchasing this title, but it definately has my attention.
