Gears of War Movie In Full Effect

It's about time all of these rumors get laid to rest. Len Wiseman, the director behind Die Hard 4 and Underworld will now take on the role of directing Gears of War based upon the popular videogame for Xbox 360.

According to Variety, Chris Morgan will be assisting Wiseman on creating the script. Previously, Stuart Beattie (Pirates of the Caribbean) first wrote the original script. But we are told that this script will be discarded.

Cliffy B, or should we say, Cliff Bleszinski, will have much involvement in the movie. He is said to be the executive producer on the movie. Movie distributor, New Line, is trying to push out the film in late 2009. Expect more details as it is uncovered.
