Are you a developer-chomping publisher interested in acquiring even more companies? Well, you might want to call Valve, as Doug Lombardi, their VP, mentioned in an interview with Gamasutra that Valve would be "happy to have that conversation" with interested parties even though they are content with being independent.

Valve already has a relationship with EA, who is currently the publisher for Left 4 Dead, and Lombardi said that things are still good between the two companies, which could potentially hamper talks with another publisher.

Valve's acquisition would be huge for any publisher, as Valve's Steam service is currently a mammoth in the PC arena since it's a huge source for digital distribution and online gaming. It'll be interesting to see how how things work out if someone acquires Valve.
